Does dancing in the car while driving count as exercise? I think a work out should be created around car dancing. My parents live in Rockland County, which is about a two and a half hour drive south from Albany. Before I left, I ate 3 TrueNorth Almond clusters which were seriously amazing. The serving size is 5 clusters for 170 calories but 3 really filled me up. I’ll definitely buy more of them!

I also ate half of my last Berry-Lemon Muffin. I’m sad to see them go. Next up is Blueberry-Coconut Macadamia Muffins from the Eating Well Website. I’m excited! I’ll definitely update with tons of pictures and a review of the muffins when I get home next week and make them. I’m staying at my parent’s house for the whole week to work at my old office job because I couldn’t find anything in Albany for the summer. I had a ridiculous craving for Subway so before I left Albany, I stopped and got a 6″ turkey sub on whole wheat topped with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, and green peppers drizzled with red wine vinegar! Mhmmmmmmm

Turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, red wine vinegar, whole wheat bread
So, my parents are afraid of anything whole wheat. They think it’s some foreign substance and simply can’t believe that it’s all I eat. When I finally made it to my parent’s house, I ate three more almond clusters
and then headed out for dinner at the local diner with my mom, my brother, Dav id, and his fiancée, Angela. I got breakfast for dinner!
I ordered whole wheat pancakes topped with blueberries and strawberries. The platter was HUGE. I immediately got a separate plate and moved one pancake to it and had the rest wrapped. I was completely satisfied with one and now I have left overs for mornings to come. My mother had to try my “strange” whole wheat pancakes and said that they were alright. I love whole wheat anything. I would be completely satisfied if I never ate anything made with white flour again. I think whole wheat is more flavorful and it’s a lot better for you.

After I separated one pancake from the platter. Can you beleive how BIG this thing is?

When it first came out. I almost died! It was way too much! One was just the right amount.
After dinner, my mom and I hit the grocery store, because of course, my parent’s house contains nothing with whole wheat and I’m staying for a whole week. I stocked up on organic greens, carrots, tomatoes, almonds, vinegar, and cucumbers for salads. I bought some Kashi Oat Flakes and Wild Blueberry Clusters for breakfast on some mornings. I LOVE anyhing blueberry. ANYTHING! I hate regular coffee but love Dunkin Donut’s Blueberry Iced Coffee. I hate regular beer but love blueberry beer. I’ve never liked cheesecake but when the Cheesecake Factory introduced its White Chocolate Blueberry cheesecake, I fell in love. You get the point. I’ve been dreaming about the blueberry hot sauce I spotted in LL Bean yesterday. I’ll have to pick some up. BUT BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING. I also bought a Kashi roasted vegetable pizza and some more Skinny Cow treats. So far I’ve tried the ice cream sandwiches and the chocolate truffle bars and have LOVED both of them. The truffle bars are only 100 calories and were amazing!! I had one when I got home from shopping.
In unrelated food news, Angela has asked me to be her Maid of Honor! Super excited for that! Her wedding is next April and I plan to look FABULOUS in the bridesmaid dress.
More tomorrow! Good night!
