Today has been such a long day! I am so tired! My cousin’s 1st birthday was today so I was up bright and early to attend the party! For breakfast I had one of the left over whole wheat pancakes that I mentioned in my previous post. I added raspberries and bananas along with the already present blueberries and strawberries. I was only able to eat about half of it though! It’s so filling and amazing! I had some almonds as a snack on the way to my cousin’s party.

I could only eat half!

At the party, I had a bowl of fruit and couple tortilla chips with homemade salsa as an appetizer. For my lunch, I had a humongous salad with tomatoes, peppers, carrots, peas, and sundried tomatoes. I also had green beans and a very small portion of ziti and chicken parmesan. Then, of course, the cake! It looked really good so I had half a piece.

I only ate half of this piece.
On the way back to Rockland, my brothers and I stopped at Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers. They always hand out free samples. I had a rice cake with raspberry jelly on it. YUM! After spending about an hour in the store, I decided to get some frozen yogurt at the ice cream stand! YAY I got a kid size chocolate vanilla non fat twist cone! It was yummy!

Rice cake with jelly sample. mmm

Forgot to take a picture before I started eating it. This is a chocolate/vanilla frozen yogurt kids cone!
When I got home I had 3 TrueNorth almond clusters and then headed out to walk around the park with my friend Shana. Shana is one of my best friends and we love to walk, talk, and swing at the park.
After walking, we headed back to my house where I had another salad!! My mom also made a Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy supreme frozen pizza and I had two small slices of that! YAY.
Now I’m off to sleep because tomorrow I am going on a long hike with Shana and my friend Dara!!

I always enjoy Stew Leonard’s. Have you been to the original store in Norwalk, Connecticut?
Yes! I used to go to the ones in CT with my family when I was younger. My family was ecstatic when they opened a closer one. Have you tried Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria. I heard they just opened one in Yonkers. The original one is in CT too! My parents used to drive for hours to get there just to stand in line for another hour! All these great things come from CT!
