Guilt Free Wednesday

We’re more than half way through the week! Huzzah! I can’t wait to go back to my apartment in Albany. I’m hanging around my paren’ts house until Sunday. Only two more days of work! YAY! My job is so amazing though. I really shouldn’t complain. I am an office assistant and the company I work for is the best ever. I worked there for 2 years before I moved to Albany and they let me come back for random weeks during the summer to work. I’m working 2 weeks out of every month until September.  I am so lucky that they let me do this because I’m making money and still get to have a summer.

Breakfast was:

6-17break

It doesn’t seem like it would, but this breakfast kept me full for a while. I have to be at work by 8:30, so I ate breakfast around 7:30 and wasn’t hungry till around 10-11. My morning snack was grape tomatoes!

6-17tomatoes

I love tomatoes. I eat big tomatoes like they’re apples. Does anybody else do that? I think I’m weird.

I didn’t have anything to bring for lunch, so I went to Subway. And guess what I got?

My usual! Duh! I decided that the code word for my usual will just be my usual. :-) I adore this sandwich. I love the crunch of the cucumbers and the peppers mixed with the red wine vinegar. Yum!

After lunch, I walked over to Starbucks and ordered a Venti unsweetened black iced tea.

6-17starbucks

I also had a medium unsweetened iced tea from Dunkin Donuts on my way into work. I love unsweetened iced tea!

At around 4, I had some popchips!

I headed over to the mall again after work. I spent a half hour in Bed, Bath & Beyond drooling over kitchen stuff. I’m such a dork!! I want everything from there, even the completely useless things.

I had plans to eat dinner with my friend Dara at around 8:30 so I snacked on cantaloupe & blueberries while I waited6-16fruit

We decided to have dinner at Chili’s. It’s not my favorite place in the world but they are cheap and fun. They also have a Guiltless Grill section in their menu. I ordered the Guiltless Buffalo Grilled Chicken Sandwhich. It was served on a whole wheat bun with a side of broccoli and carrots.  The sandwich itself was small but filling and I felt good about eating it.

This whole plate was only 386 calories and 2 grams of saturated fat. YAY! It was a pretty good sandwich too (for Chili’s that is). It had low-fat ranch dressing on it. I would definitely recommend it.

After dinner, Dara and I went to a bar  to meet up with a bunch of friends. It was lady’s night and drinks were 2 for 1. I got a Coors light. It was too dark in the bar to take a picture. I didnt even finish my first one! When they brought me my second, I gave it away!

Well, that about sums it up. I can’t wait to get home so I break my posts up a  little more. This one post a day thing is getting crazy.

More tomorrow! Night!

  • Wow how lucky are you with the J-O-B

I totally do the same thing at any and all kitchen stores!

  • I always want new bowls and plates. It helps KLASS up da blog!

  • My oh my you sampled a lot of restaurants in one day! Yes I love to eat tomatoes like that too!! Although the big ones need a bit of salt to be perfection :) The grape and cherry ones I eat like candy!!

I’m glad that you liked the Guitless Grill menu – however, as a vegetarian, I find that these menu items are almost always carniverous!! I find it weird that they cant make a healthy vegetarian recipe…

Val- That’s a good point. I didn’t even think of that. I don’t really like Chili’s that much anyway.
