I can't really help you with running, but Kim at Gluten-Free Is Life is training for a 1/2 marathon and may have some good tips. http://glutenfreeislife.wordpress.com/

BTW...I'm new to your blog and really love reading it. I like your great ideas for healthy meals and snacks. Let us know how the Truvia is...I haven't read any reviews of it yet...

Definitely start out with a pair of proper running shoes - go to a running store and make sure they watch you run so they can put you in the right category (neutral/stability/motion control)...and remember, comfort matters more than color! ;)

Once you've got the sneaks down, you can start with a run/walk ratio (check out jeffgalloway.com or runnersworld.com) and then gradually increase your running and decrease the walking. Definitely want to ease into it so you prevent injury!

Yayyy for running!! :)
