Hiya! I hope everybody is having a fabulous night! I, for one, am having a great one! Today, Jeff and I hit the gym, went grocery shopping, and checked out a restaurant we’ve never been to for dinner.
After recovering from my stomach ache this morning from the Fiber One Pancakes, I ate half of a Chocolate Almond Fudge Clif Bar before heading to the gym

Jeff and I did a slow 30 minutes on the elliptical (2 miles) because I wasn’t feeling well this morning. When we got home from the gym, we had more leftovers from Saturday for lunch

I didn’t actually eat that piece of bread on the plate. I gave it to Jeff. We hung around the apartment for most of the day. I caught up on my overflowing google reader. At 3:40, I literally ran to the bank near my apartment because they were closing at 4:00. I stopped Dunkin Donuts on my walk back for a small vanilla iced coffee with skim milk & splenda

Jeff and I spent 2 hours in the grocery store! Hey! I haven’t been home for 2 weeks! We bought ingredients for a bunch of different recipes for the week, including Eating Well’s Chili Burgers, Pizza Dough, Hungry Girl Mac & Cheese, and Eating Well’s Oven Fried Chicken. I also used the coupon I received from Stony Field Farm for a free 16 ounce container of plain Oikos and the coupon from Kashi for a free box of Island Vanilla Cereal. We bought a bunch of other goodies which you’ll see throughout the week.
We were hungry when we left the store and didn’t feel like starting with one of the recipes so we decided to try a new restaurant. We received a coupon for a chain Italian restaurant (it’s the only on in NY) called Buca di Beppo
Buca di Beppo is a fun, family style Italian restaurant near our apartment. I would love to go back with a big group of people. The portions are huge! A small size serves 2-3 people while a large size feeds 4-6.

I started out with an Unsweetened Iced Tea to drink

After staring at the menu for a while, Jeff and I decided on a Small Margherita Pizza and a Small Caesar Salad

The salad was humongous!

This was my initial portion

But it was so good, I went back for seconds!! Jeff ate a lot of the salad and we still had leftovers.
They put out a can of roasted peppers for the pizza stand and Jeff wanted to pose with it

The pizza was amazing

It was covered with fresh tomato sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. The crust was incredibly thin and crispy. The pieces were not too greasy so I didn’t feel gross eating it. I had two slices about this size

Jeff ate the rest of the pizza and he also ordered a cannoli for dessert. I tried a little bit of it and it was pretty good. I am not the biggest cannoli fan

I was looking forward to eating this when I got home

I made a Sundae using 1/2 cup of the above, cherries, and 1 block of Lindt Dark Chocolate

This was better than a cannoli to me!
Well, I am very tired and off to bed!!
What is your favorite dessert?
Have a great night!!

I am currently obsessing with banana softserve sundaes for dessert.
Yeah, I’ve been seeing those all over the place! I’m going to freeze some bananas this week and try it for sure!
