So, I dragged myself out of bed this morning at 7:15. I’ve been getting to the gym too late these past few days and I love the feeling of accomplishing things early and still having the whole day ahead of me. I was at the gym by 8:45

I loved it! I feel so much better waking up early and working out before 10!! I think this habit is going to stick, especially since my semester starts at the end of August and I won’t have much time to hit the gym during the day or at night. But let’s rewind a little bit.
I decided to try Caitlin’s Egg In The Hole for breakfast this morning

Although, the egg didn’t really stay in the hole. It kind of laid on top of it. (haha) It was still really good!!


I added Frank’s Red Hot and Black Pepper to it! Next time I might try some cheddar too. On the side I had watermelon, blueberries, and the last of my cherries

Plus two spoonfuls of Stonyfield Farm Organic Peach Yogurt. I’m spreading the container of yogurt out because although it’s amazing, 1 container has 25 grams of sugar and that’s a little too much for me. Plus now I get to enjoy it many times instead of just once!
I also had a big cup of Iced Coffee with Light Vanilla Soy Milk and 1/2 of a Stevia Packet

When I got to the gym, I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and decided to try another spin class at 9:30. All of Val’s talk about loving spinning so much motivated me to try it again and I’m really glad I did because I loved it! During the first ten minutes, I felt like I was going to die but by the end of the class I couldn’t wait to go to another one! When I got home, I checked my class schedule to see when I could fit another class in! It’s addicting! I can’t wait to go to another one!! If you have tried a spin class and absolutely hated it, go to another one and I promise it will grow on you!
Post Workout, I had an apple with Blizzard Butter
It’s almost 12:00 and I can’t believe that this is the time I’ve been hitting the gym the past couple days! Never again!!

I agree …. working out in the morning is the best!
Thanks for the shout-out, my dear! And I also love the “toad in a holes”…….. the way I used to do it is I would use a small water glass to cut out a hole in the middle of the first slice, bake the egg in the hole, and then I would also throw the excess circlular piece into the pan too to toast it and then would throw some jelly on it for “dessert”
PS you are a machine for going to spinning AND pilates!!! I always say I will work out twice in one day but its just sooo hard once I’ve been sitting on my ass all day!
Val: It helps that my gym is within walking distance of my apartment. It doesn’t take a lot of time out of my day to get there, work out, and walk/drive home
Plus I love my pilates class and spin was just an on the spot decision when I saw it on the schedule this morning.
toad in the hole…whether it IS in the hole or not, as long as the yolk is nice and golden and runny, it’s fabulous in my book!
And yeah, I totally love getting up early and having my daily exercise done early in the morning while others are just about to be awake too!
