On my way to the gym this morning, I got a lunch invitation from my good friend, Danny, and his fiancee, Brie. Of course I said yes and met them at one of my favorite local pizza places after my yoga class. Coincidentally, this was the same place my office ordered from yesterday when I was craving Subway instead. Agnello’s definitely makes some of the best pizza outside NYC. They serve brick oven, thin crust pizza and it’s absolutely amazing. If I’m going to splurge on pizza, it has to be good.

One thing you must know about me is that I come from a family that is obsessed with food. My family plans vacations around eating. We take three hour road trips to check out restaurants. My father and brothers talk about food constantly. One time, they talked about coleslaw for an entire three hours home from a restaurant. When Agnello’s opened near my parents’, we went there immediately. We found out that it’s owned by the same people who run Brooklyn Pizza in Edgewater, NJ (right across the river from Manhattan). We used to make the trip to go there all the time so we were super excited when Agnello’s opened so close to us. If you’re ever in either of the neighborhoods, definitely stop by! The pizza will blow you away!
We ordered a large pie- half plain and half sliced tomato and garlic. I had one of each kind.

Agnello’s makes their own tomato sauce and top their pies with fresh mozzarella cheese.
SO YUMMY! It was the perfect lunch!
We stopped by Hoyer’s which is my favorite local ice cream place after lunch. I ordered a small strawberry and pistachio swirl cone

I loved the size of it. It wasn’t too big or small- it was just right and so good. After we finished our ice cream, we headed to my friend Dara’s house to hang out for a bit. Check out her adorable puppy, Harley

She’s so cute!! She was running around like mad so it was hard to get good pictures of her. I did what I could!
I’m about to head to Jeff’s parents’ house to go to dinner and a show. Before Jeff and I moved in together, we lived forty minutes away from each other. How crazy is that! We still saw each other all the time but I definitely love having him in the other room instead of across a river.
This is what I am wearing to the show:

I probably won’t be blogging until either late tonight or tomorrow morning.
So have a great Saturday night!!

Have a fantastic time tonight
I wasn’t craving pizza until I saw your pictures!
We have the best middle eastern food here in southeast Michigan – they all have fabulous chicken shawarmas.
Awww so cute, is that a dachsund? Have fun at the show!
Nothing like a good pie. My favorite restaurant has to be Carlyle for fancy sit down stuff. And then some of the best food in Portland isn’t found in restaurant’s, it’s found on the street. Portland has some if not the best Street food in the Northwest, if not the country. And there are so many to be named, though Whiffies is the best. They do fried pies, from Brisket to Vegan Pot Pie. And of course the desert pies are to die for.
