I’d like to begin this post with this ridiculous picture

and this one

My brother’s dog, Henry, is SO CUTE! You know what else is cute?
This:
I met my nephew, Nicholas, today

Excuse the dorky look on my face- I thought I was going to break him. He was sleeping the whole time I was there. I wish I could sleep that much! I can’t believe that I’m an aunt. It’s a pretty ridiculous feeling and to prevent from getting all sappy on the blog, I’m going to start talking about food now.
This morning, after returning home from 30 minutes on the crossramp elliptical at the gym, I made this wonderful breakfast

I topped two Van’s Organic Waffles with a bit of real maple syrup, shredded coconut, blueberries and bananas. It was such a yummy weekend breakfast.
Lunch was leftover pasta from last night’s date recipe. (Coraline was awesome by the way)

Dark Chocolate for dessert, of course!

I packed some snacks for my road trip down to my parents’ house/brother’s house today and back up to Albany tomorrow night

Let me reiterate how much I love the people over at LARABAR for sending me such an awesome variety of bars to try out! My brother and I split the Key Lime Pie when I got to his house. We both loved it! My brother had never heard of Larabars before but he’s definitely a new customer. (The PB Cookie is for tomorrow)
On the way down, I stopped at a rest stop to grab a Grande Non-Fat Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks

I think I’m obsessed. Have you gotten one yet? (What are you waiting for?!?!?)
After meeting Nicholas, introducing my brother to Larabars, and snacking on some unpictured pieces of watermelon, my brother and I went on a 45 minute walk with Henry.
A big pot of Turkey Chili was simmering in a crock pot when I first got to my brother’s house

By the time we got back from our walk, it was ready to devour

It was delicious!
For dessert, I had two of these:

One chocolate, one vanilla.
Right now, I’m relaxing in my old bedroom at my parents’ house (weird!) and am about the go to sleep. I’m waking up bright and early tomorrow morning to:
- Tackle Google Reader
- Read for School
- Go out to breakfast with Dara for her birthday
- Do Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred (possibly)
Then I’m headed into the city (NY) to spend a day with my parents before I drive back up to Albany.
See you this time tomorrow night!
Do you have any baby relatives? Tell me about them!

Hey doll–sorry I have not commented on your blog lately…but I promise I have still been reading! I know that you just got the 30 Day Shred and did Level 1 yesterday…are you sore? I like the Shred! Jillian is tough and motivating at the same time, and that equals the ultimate fitness instructor, if you ask me.
I have never seen those Dove miniatures–they look BANGING! It’s prob good I haven’t seen them or I would of eaten the whole bag. Ahhh!
Such a precious nephew!!
ohhhh my goodness, I love those Pumpkin Spice Lattes!! I need to get one today
Your nephew is precious by the way.
Cute photos!
I’ve already had my first pumpkin latte of the season…next up…pumpkin oats!
Pumpkin spiced Lattes are AMAZING! I need to ask for less syrup next time though because the one I got yesterday was super sweet.
Nicholas is super adorable. I have a really good friend who just had a baby and she is adorable. I’ve got to finish her baby quilt so I can send it to her. I want to take a trip down to Staten Island to deliver it but that will depend on when I finish it
Aw puppy kisses and babies! Two things that just make you smile
Pumpkin latte = fall! It’s like when Christmas music starts playing and you just KNOW it’s Christmas season. When that drink comes out you KNOW it’s fall!
cutest baby ever! congrats on being an auntie!! give the infamous dara a big happy bday for me!!! next time you get the grande pumpkin spice try it with 2p of white chocolate
So much cuteness in one post! I’m a sucker for dogs and babies
.
I must get to ‘bucks soon for the pumpkin latte. Mmmmmm.
Your breakfast looks delicious and no, I haven’t gotten the pumpkin-spice latte yet, but it definitely is one of my favorite “fall” treats and I’m already looking forward to it!
You had one of my favorite breakfasts!! I love Van’s waffles with blueberries and banana too!! I haven’t tried the pumpkin spice latte, but I was just at Starbucks earlier today and was eyeing it, I may have to try it next time!
Also, you are the only person besides myself who I’ve heard mention the crossramp elliptical, I love that machine!
What a cutie!!! So small.
I love the name Nicholas.
