Happy 12:14 am! I am back in Albany at my apartment. I am blogging from bed after spending an amazing day out and about with my parents and Jeff.
This morning, my mom made Challah French Toast for breakfast

I topped mine with a bit of real maple syrup, Blueberry Oikos, and Sliced Banana. It was so yummy!
We decided to spend the day at a park directly across from NYC in Fort Lee, NJ. The park we went to overlooked the George Washington Bridge.

It was such a clear and beautiful day. We could see completely across the island to the other side!
Since we planned on having an early dinner, I never had a real lunch. Instead, I snacked on the following things:

An Orange

Newman's Own Organics Spelt Pretzels
After we were done at the park, we headed to Englewood, NJ to walk around and have dinner. I was feeling pretty tired, so I stopped by Starbucks for a Grande Iced Nonfat Latte

Mmmm much better.
We chose to eat dinner at a restaurant called Cassie’s. I started off by having a piece of bread dipped in oil and pepper

For my entree, I chose the Penne Sicilian

Eggplant, Roasted Red Peppers, Fresh Mozzerella with a Touch of Tomato.
My mom shared some of her salad with me too

My dish was awesome! As you can see from the picture, the portion was huge so now I have lunch and dinner for tomorrow!
After dinner, we stopped by Tasti D-lite. I ordered a small cup of Oreo FroYo

It was delicious! I wish I had one of these places in Albany!
I may or may not have had a rainbow cookie when I got home.
Overall, I had a really fun day! Now, I’m totally wired because I had black tea on the drive back up to Albany. I’m going to do some reading for class and then sleep.
Tell me about your favorite city!
Have a great night…err..morning!

I don’t think I’ve traveled enough to have a favorite city. I think I would really like San Diego or Seattle though.
My favorite city = NYC, for sure!!
That French toast and Tasti = YUM!! My favorite US city – Chicago but I LOVE Venice
Let me just say, I loved this post!! Even though blurry, I think the pictures are great. I also love Tasti-D-Lite.

Wow that bridge picture is sooo pretty! And all your food looks delicious. I have lots of favorite cities. I adore Pittsburgh (obviously), but I also love NYC and Chicago, and I’m actually really loving where I’m at in Minnesota too. I can’t wait to check out Minneapolis next weekend.
I love challah! Challah french toast sounds divine!
aw you’re totally in MY HOOD! i grew up in bergen county and have spent so much time in those areas….
Holla for challah!!!!!!!!!
That looks amazing. My fave city is London. It’s perfection.
NYC is awesome to live in, but if I knew spanish, Barcelona and Buenos Aires would be great to live in.
Just curious, how are the Spelt Pretzels? I’ve been curious but haven’t convinced myself to purchase…
Funny. V and I were talking about cities on our run yesterday and normally I’d say San Francisco, but around this time of year (and sometimes around Christmas) I sort of love DC. We have a hot and cold relationship haha. I love DC around this time of year b/c the weather is perfect, tourists aren’t out in full force and there’s just something that makes me happy. So weird! BUT the rest of the year, SF is my fave
