SO, I originally wrote this post at 8:00 this morning but my computer crashed. Turns out I had some type of virus and Jeff just got rid of it. So HERE’S MY POST at 11:04pm instead. 🙂
I hope everyone had a nice relaxing Tuesday.
I had the most relaxing day in the world yesterday. I had the day off from both work and school and spent a good portion of the day in bed reading like this:
Yes. I have Betty Boop Pajamas and they are amazing. Don’t be jealous.
I had to read The Florist’s Daughter by Patricia Hampl for my Literary Journalism class. I think all of you should order it from amazon. The book reads like poetry. The writing style is amazing.
Anyway, yesterday was spent doing the following things:
- Taking a rest day from working out
- Reading in bed all morning
- A trip to UPS store where I sent the amazing Brandi a package
- Shopping at the mall
- Having dinner out with Jeff
- Watching HIMYM and Big Bang Theory
Seriously, how could my day get anymore relaxing? I didn’t even touch my computer for most of the day.
But let’s rewind to Sunday night so I can show this giant bowl of mac&peas
This was my dinner on Sunday night before I left for work. Of course, I used Annie’s
and just mixed in a buttload of peas.
Since I didn’t get home on Sunday night until after 12am, I decided to skip my Spin Class yesterday morning. This was my first time skipping in a while. This Saturday, I am participating in something called a Burn-a-Thon at Gold’s Gym. I am going to a Pilates and Spinning class on Saturday morning to help fight diabetes. I usually go to spinning twice a week so I didn’t feel bad skipping yesterday morning since I’m going this weekend.
I was out of bananas (I know, it’s horrible) so I mixed some eggs with a chopped up link of Sundried Tomato Chicken Sausage and a bit of reduced fat cheddar for breakfast
This ended up being way too much food and I didn’t eat all of it. What I did eat filled me up for a while.
I know I say this a lot but I had the most amazing lunch.
Look at that and tell me it doesn’t look amazing.
I heated up a sweet potato and topped it with warm apple slices. The apples were just warm enough that I was able to smoosh them into the potato like apple sauce. I made a big salad on the side. Again, this was way too much food and I ended up putting half of it in the fridge. I would highly recommend trying this for lunch and maybe adding a little bit of cinnamon. It was fantastic!
After lunch, I went shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spent a lot of time trying on clothes. I really needed more pants for work and finally found them at the Gap.
I got two pairs of skinny cords and red fleece gloves. The one thing I will tell you about my job is that I get a pretty sweet discount at the Gap without actually working at the Gap. Ooo a riddle! You can all probably figure it out now. (if you can tell where that shopping bag in the top of the picture is from, you can figure out where I work)
The thing about these pants though is that they are too long because I am too short (I’m 5’2″). When I got home, I actually found them on the website in petite and ordered them. So now I have to go back and return the ones in the picture. Oh the joys of shopping!
I met Jeff at Unos for dinner at around 6:00. I ordered a glass of Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale for fun.
I had a hard time deciding what I wanted and Jeff and the waiter made fun of me for a while about it. I finally decided on the Tomato and Cheese 5 Grain Flatbread. I asked them to add roasted vegetables (zucchini, squash, onions, and peppers) to the top.
OMG. Fantastic. I had 3 wonderful pieces.
When I got home, I had this for dessert
WW Toast with Cinnamon Raisin Swirl PB. Yum!
The rest of my night was spent watching TV and reading.
Since this post is going up now when it was supposed to go up this morning, this is all I have for you tonight!
