Updates!

Hey Guys! Just stopping by to say hi! Thanks for all of the supportive comments on my last post!

I’m done with my 17 page paper!! I started it on Monday morning and didn’t finish until Friday morning. It was for my Studies in Writing About Texts Class and the topic was The Evolution of Corporate Ideas of Beauty in Disney Movies and Dove Ad Campaigns. The class’ theme is fairy tale and I basically started with Snow White and compared Disney Movies up through the present with Dove Commercials. Check out this picture:

Isn’t that creepy? My thesis was that even though corporate ideas of beauty have changed over time, Disney and Dove still try to sell beauty.

So now I’m on to my other 2 papers due on Tuesday. One is a 3000 word story for my Journalism class on America’s obsession with beauty. And the other paper is for my other journalism class and I haven’t decided what I’m going to right about yet.

In other news, today is Jeff’s Birthday!! He is 25 today!! This is the 5th birthday I’ve shared with him. His friends have been staying at our apartment since Friday and his brother came up to surprise him last night.  We all went bowling and it was so much fun. I cannot bowl for my life.

I’ve definitely eaten like crap this whole weekend. (veggie burrito, wings, alcohol, cookies) On top of that, I haven’t been to the gym since Wednesday! I’m definitely going to my spinning class tomorrow morning and I  am going to get back  on track withmy regular eating habits (with the exception of Thanksgiving, of course!!). I don’t really feel bad for over-indulging. Jenna wrote a really good post about it a couple weeks ago here. I know I’ll get back on track soon.

I do have pictures of my food but I’m not going to be able to do an actual post until Tuesday when all of my work is done.  I haven’t been able to read any posts on google reader because I’ve been eating, sleeping, and breathing school work.
