I had the best time last night!
Christina, Lynn, Dara and I decided to go to Stir Crazy in the Palisades Center.
I ordered the Potstickers and the Side Asian Caesar Salad.
My mouth is still sort of sore and sensitive from having my wisdom teeth out last week so I took the majority of this home. Overall, we had a fantastic time and I am so happy I had the chance to meet a few awesome bloggers.I might meet up with Lynn again on New Year’s Day in NYC. Can’t wait.
After dinner, we split up and Dara and I headed over to Red Mango for some frozen yogurt. I’ve read about this place all over the blog world but they just opened one in the Palisades and I almost died when I saw it. I had to have some. We don’t have places like this in Albany.
I ordered a small original yogurt with blueberries. OMG. It was so good. And I am obsessed with blueberries so those were the first to go.
When I got home, I found out some horrible news. My mother lost the diamond from her 40 year old engagement ring.
She was unwrapping the netting from the Christmas tree and felt a tugging on her ring. When she looked down, she saw that the diamond was missing. We looked everywhere. My brother flipped the tree upside down twice. We retraced her footsteps all over the house. Nothing. My mother, brother, and future sister-in-law started looking at 8:00pm. I started when I got home at around 10 and we searched until 11pm. My mother is so upset. I am determined to find it. Maybe we’ll find it Christmas morning. Now that would be a miracle.
This morning I made an egg sandwich on pumpernickel bread for breakfast
I cut the crusts off the the bread so it would be easier to chew. I had cantaloupe on the side. I wanted to add cheese so I dug into my mother’s cheese stash.
Seriously? If you are lacking in the cheese department, you know where to find some. Come on over. This drawer is like Mary Poppin’s bag. I finally decided on some extra sharp cheddar and melted a few thin slices onto the egg.
For lunch, I had some leftover pasta from the other night. And then I had more cantaloupe.
Mmmmm Melon.
My mother and I joined my brother and his fiancée, Angela for dinner tonight at a local Bar & Grill called Babe’s. I ordered the Milanese Chicken Salad.
Thinly sliced chicken breast with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and tomatoes over romaine lettuce. Served with Balsamic Vinaigrette.
This salad, unlike last night’s salad, didn’t contain sesame seeds, so it was easier for me to eat. It was really good. I ate everything except a few pieces of chicken and some of the lettuce.
To round out the night, I had two of these:
Lindt makes dangerous dark chocolate truffles. Mmmmm.
Have a great night!!
P.S. Are there any NYC bloggers (or surrounding NYC) who would like to meet up sometime before January 15th for lunch/dinner? I am not sure of the details yet but Mel from She Runs Brooklyn and I are trying to plan something. Let me know. You can email me at beccarose21@aol.com

So yeah… I’m moving in- cheese and dark choco truffles… *sigh*
Hope your mouth heals up quickly… wisdom teeth out is the worst… all I ate was mashed potatoes and milkshakes… wait, maybe it wasn’t so bad after all
Aww, I’ll pray that your Mom finds her diamond!
Okay, I am totally coming over to get some cheese LOL – so jealous!!
I wish I was a NY blogger, or even anywhere near NY so that I could meet up!

Merry Christmas RR and I hope your mom finds her diamond. (Look under the tree skirt.)
The Milanese Chicken Salad looks delicious.
