That's What Friends Are For…

Don’t forget to enter my Dove PB Milk Chocolate Promises Giveaway! You have until Midnight (EST) on January 15th to enter.

I think I could open a Peanut Butter Sandwich Shop.

What do you think?

Breakfast on Monday

1 Mashed Banana, Peanut Butter, Cinnamon, Whole Wheat Toast

I know you would buy that sandwich from me.

On Monday, one of my favorite friends in the world came to visit me.

I have known Julianne since I was 13 and she was 11. I feel like her older sister sometimes. Last year when Jeff and I first moved into our apartment in Albany, Jeff had to go back to his parents’ house for week. Since we just moved to Albany, I didn’t want to stay in our new apartment alone for a week. So, Julianne came up to stay with me.

January 09

She is by far one of the best friends I have ever had.

Julianne grew up in the same town as me but moved to upstate NY when she was 13 0r 14. So, we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood to see what she would remember.

Along the way, we found a friend:

We named him Alfred.

We walked to a pizza place for lunch. It was the same pizza place we used to walk to when I was 14 and she was 12. She used to hide from cars driving by because her parents were really strict and didn’t want her leaving my house when she came over.

This particular pizza place has been on my list of places to go since I’ve been at my parents’ house. I used to go there all the time when I lived in Rockland. Not because of the pizza–because of the garlic knots.

OMMMMGGGGG This place has the best garlic knots I have ever tasted. Julianne and I shared an order.

We sang every song we could think of on our way home…loudly…because we’re ridiculous. Drivers passing by probably thought we were screaming at each other.

We did 30 minutes of yoga when we got back to my house and then watched Julie & Julia. I swear I could watch that movie 100 times and not get bored. I love it so much.

Dinner was leftover stir-fried eggplant from Saturday and leftover pasta from Sunday (which I never blogged about…oops).

The Ricotta Pasta with Spinach is a Rachael Ray recipe that my mother made Sunday night. Unfortunately, the recipe is in the book, 365:No Repeats, so I can’t publish it on the blog. You should borrow the book from the library and make this pasta though. It was sooo good.

Annnd dessert:

Tazo Berryblossom White Tea and 2 squares of Lindt 70% Dark Chocolate.

I’m going to get my hair cut today (eek!!). I have a special announcement that I’m either going to post today or tomorrow. Look out for it! Bet you can’t guess.

Tell me about one of your best friends.

Have a great Thursday!
