Saturdays Are For Farmers' Markets…Duh

I am blogging from my bed in my apartment in Albany. I loved spending time in Rockland with my friends and family but I am also very happy to have my apartment back!

My camera ate my picture of Saturday’s breakfast. Picture scrambled eggs and whole wheat toast with blackberry preserves on top. Mmmm- I hope the picture in your mind looks tasty.

After breakfast, Jeff and I decided to go to the Saratoga Farmers’ Market. About a week ago, I found out that Mae, author of the fantastic blog, Oh May, lives near me AND works for Saratoga Peanut Butter Company. How awesome is that!? PB&Co and Saratoga PB Company are competing for the title of my favorite peanut butter ever! Saratoga PB Co. gets extra points because they’re local and sell their PB at the Farmers’ Market!

Since we were out of PB, I naturally bought the whole table a couple jars.

Yes. That says Monkey Boy. I didn’t even have to try it. I picked it up, read the description (Banana Peanut Butter with Raisins), and was sold. I also bought a jar of plain creamy PB. You can never have too much Peanut Butter!!

It was lovely meeting Mae. We’re definitely going to have to do lunch very soon!

While at the Farmers’ Market, I stopped by this booth:

And ordered a Banana Smoothie (look at picture above for description)

It was wonderful and kept me full for a really long time! I wasn’t hungry for lunch until a couple hours later when Jeff and I were at the mall. I got a small salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing from the food court.

The broccoli was the best part!

Jeff and I wandered around the mall after lunch and ended up in the pet store. I feel so bad that pet store animals are locked up in cages. They let us take out an Akita  puppy to play with for a couple minutes.

Isn’t she the cutest thing in the world? I felt bad putting her back.   Then one of the pet store employees lost my license but that’s a story for another time.

Dinner was the other half of my wrap from Friday which I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of.

Don’t worry- I remembered to take a picture of dessert!

Then for some ridiculous reason, I decided to do level 1 of the 30 Day Shred at 9:00pm!

Refueled before bed with a piece of Zucchini Bread from the Farmers’ Market topped with Peanut Butter.

Delicious! I need to try making my own.
