Dear Blog,
I love you. I miss you. I’m sorry I’ve neglected you over the past couple weeks. I know that being a stressed college student is no excuse but I hope you can understand and will forgive me. I’ve been bombarded with final papers and reading assignments. I’ve also been busy preparing to start my summer internship next week and adjusting to my new job. All this and more has prevented me from blogging. I know your birthday is coming up on the 25th and I promise I’ll try to get back into my regular routine by then.
I have a lot to tell you about.
My brother got married two weekends ago. I was the maid of honor. It was a beautiful wedding.
This was my dress:
The bride picked it out. I love the color.
Now I have a new sister!
The food situation over the past couple weeks has been a blur of stressed eating. I know–not a good thing. I’ve been trying to control myself.
But really, how can you resist a veggie burrito from here:
The answer is you really can’t. Everything in moderation, right? Plus, I think the butt-kicking I received the next day at my spinning class and pilates/yoga/dance class made up for it.
Oh, and I found lavender cookies at the farmers’ market. Seriously?
Sooo good.
I’ve consumed a million bowls of banana oats over the past couple weeks
And Jeff and I made some tasty black bean burgers
Of course, our version couldn’t top the black bean and barley burger I had at Brown’s a couple months ago. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Yummm.
I’ve continued to use my waffle maker…
…making whole wheat flax seed and toasted wheat germ waffles!!
And that’s it!!
These are the things I’ve been doing while neglecting you, dear blog. I’ll try to make sure it doesn’t happen again!
OH- I wrote a story for my magazine writing class ABOUT food blogging. At least I was thinking about you, RIGHT? That counts for something!
Until next time!
Love,
Rebecca

You looked beautiful
Hey! I came across your blog a while ago and I’m finally commenting! Those waffles look really tasty. I think I need to invest in a waffle maker. Anyway, which farmer’s market did you find lavender cookies at? They look interesting!
I love Bros tacos!! So much that even though they gave us food poisoning once, I still eat there. That’s dedication!
You should post you paper on your blog! I’d love to read it.
