I almost exploded from excitement today. I can’t reveal why just yet but I’ll talk about it soon, I promise! Let’s just say I was running around my apartment shrieking like a crazy person when I got home from my internship.
I had to relieve my energy somehow so I went to Body Pump. I love this class so much! I increased my weight today so I’m going to be sore tomorrow. It’s worth it!
When I got home, Jeff and I went to Ichiban, a local Japanese & Chinese Restaurant for dinner to celebrate all of my exciting news.
I ordered a glass of Plum Wine to aid in the celebration.
It was good but a little too sweet for me. Jeff ordered Saké.
I tried it and decided that I liked my wine better.
We ordered Vegetable Gyoza (dumplings) to start.
I had two.
For my entree, I decided on the Vegetarian Futomaki
Jeff tried to teach me how to use chopsticks but I failed miserably. I seriously tried for ten minutes before our food came out.
I honestly wasn’t a fan of sushi until today. The futomaki was filled with so many vegetables-I can’t even remember them all! I remember seeing black mushroom, avocado, and asparagus in the description. It was delicious. And the best part is, I have leftovers for tomorrow!!
It was the perfect celebration dinner! We’ll definitely be going back.
This morning started with a beautiful bowl of banana oats.
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 banana
- Cinnamon
- Flax seed
- Blueberries
- Cherries
I packed lunch to bring with me to Saratoga for my internship.
- Leftover Veggie Soup
- Slice of Italian Bread
- Odwalla Chocolate Chip Trail Mix bar (didn’t end up eating it)
- Strawberry-Banana Chobani
Whoa- is this flavor new or have I just not had Chobani in a realllllyyyy long time? I’m torn. I liked it at first but then it got too sweet. I’m losing my sweet tooth!
I ate everything above except for the Odwalla bar. I’ve been neglecting to eat it since Saturday when I bought it as a snack on the way to the wedding.
Sorry Odwalla Bar. I’ll eat you eventually. I swear.
Thank you guys so much for your tips on how to make my homemade veggie soup taste better!
I agree- next time I’ll definitely add fresh herbs.
When I got home from my internship, I fueled for pump with a bowl of cheerios.
Well, I’m pooped! Catch you guys tomorrow!
What’s your favorite cuisine?
Have a great Wednesday! <3
Teaser: Stay tuned for a really awesome giveaway in the next couple days. It’s a good one. I promise!

Oh my! I can’t wait to hear about this exciting development on the internship front!
I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one who has trouble with chopsticks.
I have a training set at home! Ha They’re connected at the end!
mmm.. plum wine.
I love anything ethnic. I like flavor so boring stuff just doesn’t suit me.
Ooooooooooooooooh you tease!!!!!! Tell us the news!!!! LOL – I can’t wait!!!!!!
Hehe!!
I love plum wine – so sweet and tasty!
I totally recommend Sushi Tei the next time you guys are up for sushi in that area. It’s just a little further up the street, and I think it’s better than Ichiban.
And btw, I can’t get into sake either. I’ve been trying, and I’m a plum wine gal all the way.
