Doesn't Jen sort of look like Reese Witherspoon? I think she does.

Tonight, Jen and I died worked our butts off  at a body pump class at my gym.  The picture above is our attempt to recreate the squats track that killed both of us. We didn’t even try to recreate the lunge or shoulder track. We would have fallen off my balcony.

I loved meeting Jen tonight. We had so much to talk about, and I can’t wait to see her this weekend at Heather’s Blogger Potluck Brunch! Thanks, Jen, for working out with me!

Moving right along… I participated in the #fitblog chat on Twitter tonight. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to join in on the next one.

ON TO THE FOOD! Since this is a food blog. Sheesh!

I took my breakfast out on a date to my balcony this morning.

I was really craving banana oats, and the fact that we were out of ripe bananas didn’t stop me from giving in to that craving.

Blogfaces, meet Mr. Blueberry-Banana Oat Smoothie (BBOS)

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • handful of fresh blueberries
  • tsp cinnamon
  • tsp flax
  • tsp PB

He’s pleased to meet you and hopes that you’ll invite him on a date to your balcony, too. I had a runny egg on the side. BBOS wasn’t jealous. He enjoyed the company.

Enough of that.

For those of you who participated in my silly guessing game last night, no, I am not working at my fav. cafe, Uncommon Grounds. Kudos to those of you who know me well enough to guess that. I think I would turn into a bagel if I worked there, and that would be no good. No. Good.

I did, however, eat at Uncommon Grounds today for lunch:

Swoon. I love you, Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with PB and honey.

Like I said in last night’s post, I will not reveal the actual name of the place where I work, but I will tell you that Tay was almost right when she said:

I’m guessing a barista somewhere! Somewhere where they have a salad bar….haha

Yes. I am working as a barista. No. There is not a salad bar. But they do make pretty tasty salads behind the counter.

Speaking of that tasty salad from last night, I ate the rest of it for a snack today before body pump.

That just looks so appetizing, doesn’t it?

After pump, Jeff and I whipped up a couple of burritos for dinner.

  • Whole Wheat Tortilla
  • Eden Organics Cajun Rice & Beans
  • Corn
  • Goat Cheese
  • Salsa
  • Frank’s Red Hot

Scarfed it down with a side salad made with romaine and tomatoes.

Dessert was a bowl of cheerios and that’s not very interesting so no picture for you!

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new header, courtesy of my very good friend, Dara. I was very picky and probably drove her crazy over the four weeks it took to finally get my new header right. More on that tomorrow.

  3. Hey girl! This post was soooo funny!
    Body pump sounds awesome…I have never taken that exact class but I wish they offered one at the YMCA here in Saratoga.
    Yes, I have taken a smoothie on a date to my balcony–strawberries, bananas, vanilla yogurt, a touch of honey and some ice is how I like it = delicious. I will have to try adding oats and PB sometime, that sounds good!
