Don’t forget to enter my O.N.E. Coconut Water Giveaway! You have until Midnight (EST) on July 26th to enter.
I spent $7.16 on FroYo last night.
Well, technically, fruit with a side of FroYo…
I’m rationalizing this in a number of different ways.
- It was froyo from the first self-serve location I’ve ever been to.
- I had to.
- It was my dinner…yes-I just said that.
- I was celebrating life…for no reason at all. (But do I really need a reason?)
- Amy made me do it
Enough said.
Heaven.
After our froyo date, Amy and I parted ways–but not before asking a total stranger to snap a picture of us together:
I had the privilege of hanging out with not only one, but THREE lovely bloggers today!
Does it count as a blogger meet-up if I met and became friends with the blogger before I knew she had a blog?
Don’t care- still calling it a blogger meet-up. So there.
I met up with Mareesa of Slow Running Saratoga for lunch at a restaurant that I’m reviewing for the paper. Mareesa and I met during my internship at The Saratogian. After bonding in the break room over our love for blogs and exercise, I decided to ask Mareesa to come with me on one of my vegetarian-friendly restaurant reviews.
I can’t say/show too much about my lunch until the article comes out, but I will show you this:
Oo la la! Don’t eat the screen.
After an exciting lunch and ‘dinner’ with those lovely ladies, I ended up in Borders with my laptop. I ordered an iced coffee…
Then proceeded to be productive obsess over TweetDeck until I saw Heather shoot out this tweet:
@ThenHeatherSaid: CDNY girls – you should come to Scotia tonight for open mic night at the coffee shop I’m obsessed with (and blog planning
)
So, let’s think about this for a second: I was sitting in a cafe working on blog stuff, and at the same time, only 30 minutes away, another totally awesome blogger was sitting in a coffee shop doing the exact same thing …
So, did I go? Does this answer your question?
Note to self: Coconut Soy Lattes and Heather will give you a boost of positive energy and keep you up all night.
Because I love you all so much, here’s a couple random pics from Sunday’s eats. ![]()
The most important part of my breakfast was that Savvy Coconut Chai Scone. Delicious.
And the most important part of this fruit and yogurt parfait was the Savvy Orange Current Scone that I crushed in.
The. End.
Are you a coffee or tea type of person? Do you enjoy doing work in cafes or in an office. Speak to me.
Have an awesome day! <3

Coffee! Although, I like tea also, but my apt is too hot in both the winter and summer to sit and drink tea. I know I know, I can tolerate hot coffee, but not hot tea. =)
i am so glad you came to the shop last night : ) weekly blogging/planning/chatting/sipping dates are a must
I am a coffee person, but I do enjoy tea.
It depends what kind of work I am doing … if it doesn’t involve too much concentration, then I would much rather work in a coffee shop than in an office. A friend and I used to always do our University Statistics homework together at Starbucks, and it made the experience a little less painful!
that coconut scone does look delicious! Yummy! I love froyo too!
Love coffee although I’ve given it up for hot chocolate these days.
CD and I once spent $16+ on our combined fro-yo. No shame – love those self-serve yogurt places!
I thought your coconut chai scone was a veggie burger…scone sounds much better.
I would enter your coconut water giveaway, but I had a bad experience with a coconut water smoothie I made and haven’t been able to drink the stuff since. Very sad. Hoping it will be back in my life someday…
Aw man that looks like an awesome day.
You wouldn’t think less of me if I wanted to lick the screen with the veggie sushi. I love sushi and it is my hardest thing about not being able to eat meat. SERIOUSLY!
The frozen yogurt looks so good! Love all the fruit toppings!
Amy’s dress is so cute!
Yay for blogger meetups!
P.S. In case you or any of your readers are interested, I have a giveaway on my blog for NuNaturals Stevia products:

Thanks!
Coffee, I will get a major headache if I don’t have it!
I love coffee way too much!! Sounds like a fun day, and that fro yo was definitely worth what you paid!! Looks awesome!
I love coffee! That coconut soy latte you had looks especially delicious. I love hanging out in coffee shops on my computer, it’s even more fun if you have someone else to do it with.
[...] 9) Frozen Yogurt Bowls In the current incarnation of frozen yogurt, customer are given enormous bowls as they enter a self service queue of several tart flavors of soft serve frozen yogurt and a salad bar of interesting toppings. When charging by the ounce, this strategy makes perfect business sense. A reasonable serving of yogurt looks like a little turd in the bottom of the cup. Me? I’ll take that little tart turd, drizzle a bit of honey on it and be delightfully happy. But I seem to be the only one. Others end up with something like this. [...]
