Goo Goo Foot…What?

Don’t forget to enter my O.N.E. Coconut Water Giveaway! You have until Midnight (EST) on July 26th to enter.

Hands down. Best. Comment. Ever.

Yes– that is an epic comment from my mother partially about how I fail at playing chess, but more importantly about my guest post on Fit Chick In The City. Not going to lie- it made my eyes tear. (Thank you, Mommy) And now, I’m probably going to make her eyes tear, which in turn is going to make my eyes tear again. Right? RIGHT! If you haven’t checked out my super personal guest post over on Jess’ blog, please read it when you get a chance. Thank you. <3

Note: David is one of my older brothers.

Moving away from the sappy stuff, I went to a Goo Goo Foot concert last night.

Goo Goo Foot = Switchfoot and Goo Goo Dolls…obviously. I make up names.

I was asked to cover the concert for the newspaper I interned for as a little freelance gig. I am covering the Counting Crows concert in August and I cannot wait! They’re one of my favorite bands.

Before I get to all that good stuff, let me recap my eats. Yesterday’s lunch looked like this:

You’re looking at half a bagel with feta cheese on top, peach slices, and a salad made with tomatoes, peppers, and dandelion greens.

And, because I’m a broke college student, I introduce you to concert food:

A PB& Raspberry Honey Sandwich and a Chocolate Green SuperFood bar courtesy of Amazing Grass.

Concert Ready:

I invited my good friend, Jess, to come with me to the show.

She may kill me for posting this pic.

We were there early, so things got a little silly.

Ohh May Spotting:

That’s a NuVal flier in there from when I wrote my NuVal story for Tina.

Lead singer, Jon Foreman, of Switchfoot  singing  in the audience:

This pic is not zoomed in at all:

Lead Singer, John Rzeznik, of the Goo Goo Dolls:

*Dies again*

The. End.

P.S. I realize this post has little to do with food and healthy living. I think that being that close to Jon Foreman qualifies as healthy living. Don’t you?

I’ll post a link to my concert review when it is published tomorrow.

Tell me about the best concert you’ve ever been to. If you’ve never been to one, tell me about your dream concert.

Have a great night! <3

  1. You have the coolest job ever if you get to go see not only SwitchFoot and Goo Goo Dolls. I need a way to do a Freaky Friday with you for all the fun stuff and then not for all the stress of writing the articles.

And mom’s always leave the best comments. Your guest post was amazing so your mom is right 🙂

  2. i’ve seen a lot of amazing concerts back in the day – the roots, pink floyd, bruce springsteen – but the one that changed my life was when i saw ani di franco at the age of 19 and decided i was going to be a women’s studies major. i’ve been a feminist since!!!

  3. Love your blog!!! All the pictures make it so fun and less intimidating b/c it’s not “text heavy” I need to make mine more eye catching like yours!! I’m definitely adding you to my blogroll! Also if you’re looking for a great coffee shop/cafe check out Argo Tea! Seriously the most amazing and unique drinks with fewer calories!
