Today is the last day to enter my O.N.E. Coconut Water Giveaway! You have until Midnight (EST) tonight to enter.
Today is such a ‘what the heck?’ type of day, if ya know what I mean? I feel so out of it and I’m not sure why. I think it’s because I haven’t worked out in almost a week.
There. I said it. I haven’t worked out in almost a week, and I. feel. gross. My ankle seems to be getting worse. I can’t wait until my sports med. appointment. Honestly, my ankle was feeling OK last Tuesday, but then I went to a Pi-Yo class and I think that messed it up even more. Now instead of just the inside of my ankle hurting, the whole thing hurts and it spreads into the top of my foot. Gah! So frustrating!
ANYWAY-Enough of that. This is a food blog, not an ankle blog.
So, Lemon- Ginseng Iced Green Tea is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Don’t try to tell me it’s not, because it is, and that’s that.
I’m currently sitting in Saratoga Coffee Traders gulping down that cup of love above. I’m about to leave this cafe to pick up Heather so we can meet up with Jen, Lauren, and Cynthia at another cafe. We’ll also be video-chatting with Julie.
I’m telling you, I live in coffee shops.
I just devoured a hummus and roasted veggie sandwich from Putnam Market.
I lied. This sandwich might be the greatest thing since sliced bread…the greatest thing on sliced bread? Multi-grain bread, to be exact.
Can you believe that that’s a half size? It’s called the Rosemary and it loved having its picture taken.
I’ve been all over Saratoga this morning. Hear that, All Over Albany? ALL OVER SARATOGA.
Sheesh.
I had to do a couple interviews for the paper, and now I’m just sitting and working blogging, and waiting…and waiting….and…
Speaking of flax seed…
We were talking about flax seed, weren’t we?
Nicole from Carrington Farms contacted me about a week ago and asked if I wanted to try Carrington Farms Organic Milled Flax Seed. Of course, I said Yes, Nicole. I love flax. Duh.
I poured 90% of the convenient little packet into my banana oats this morning.
I usually can’t taste flax when I add it to my oats. This morning, I could actually taste the nuttiness of the flax seed in my oats, and I liked it. I can’t wait to bake and cook with it.
My oats contained one banana, one cup of vanilla almond milk, a lot of cinnamon, Carrington Farms flaxseed, more cinnamon, a couple dark chocolate chips, and…
…Drum Roll Please…
Oh, PB&Co Cinnamon Raisin Swirl PB, I’ve missed you.
And then, this happened:
Really, Rebecca? Another coffee shop? WHAT THE HECK?
I really should be leaving now to pick Heather up, but first I have to show you this picture of Jen chugging the green smoothie that I made her last night.
Jen loves Amazing Grass. Chug. Chug. Chug.
The. End.
Give me your best flax seed recipes. C’mon, lay ‘em on me!
Have a great night <3

That sandwich looks delish! Have a great meet-up!
I love flax in my oatmeal, too. It adds so much to the flavor. I’ve also made baked sweet potato fries that were coated in flax. They were so good.
I am feeling you with the ankle problems! I haven’t worked out in 10 days because I did something to my ankle or foot, or both while dancing. I can’t figure out what is wrong with it, and I really don’t want to hurt it any further by pushing myself too hard.
I wish I lived closer so you could make me a smoothie.
I understand the injury frustration but trust me if you take care of it now you will be much better off in the long run. Being frustrated about not working out for a little bit is much better than the 4 months I’m going on because I didn’t take care of my leg right away.
BTW tonight has been a blast!
Hahaha your parties are crazy! I second miss Rayn, I would also love a green smoothie. I need to make it to one blogger meet up. Sigh… I can’t wait to be done with work for the summer. Putnam market is delicious!
haha “got a flax pack on ya?” .. that should be the new slogan. wow im loving the grab and go versatility of flax in a pack, i can seriously think of so many ways this could come in handy!
we need to have one huge blogger meetup! that would be amazing
xoxo
Kelsey,
That WOULD be amazing. Something like Healthy Living Summit, perhaps, but in upstate NY? We should have a conference at Niagra Falls!
