Don’t forget: you have until August 25 to submit Guest Post submissions to Rebecca[at]RoseyRebecca.com. I still have a few slots open for October and December. If you’re interested, please let me know as soon as possible.
Some days call for vanilla-watermelon swirl ice cream cones…
Especially humid days in mid-August when you know that summer is coming to an end, and that fall will be here before you know it.
There’s something about getting ice cream at an ice cream stand that makes me feel like a little kid again.
I also get that feeling when I cut my grilled PB & Banana sandwiches in triangles…
I can’t be the only one.
While I enjoy the warm summer months, I will always be in love with fall.
I can barely contain myself when I notice the little things in August that indicate that September is almost here.
- Back to school sales
- Fall clothing
- Apples
Speaking of apples, I practically squealed with excitement when I found Autumn Apple Salsa in Saratoga Salsa & Spice Company this past weekend
Yum!
Here are a few of my favorite fall posts from last year:
Ahhhh. I’m getting ahead of myself. It’s only August 20! I can’t help it. I am SO excited for fall! Aren’t you?
Anyway, as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I was offered the chance to review Arnold Sandwich Thins on my blog.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, or even if you haven’t, you should know that I’m no stranger to Arnold Sandwich Thins. I love ‘em.
Foodbuzz has challenged its Tastemakers to come up with unique sandwich creations using the thins. So, I will only be posting about them when I have something interesting to show you.
Like the Apple-Cheddar Egg Sandwich I made yesterday for lunch:

I told you, I have fall on the brain.
What You’ll Need:
- One Whole Wheat Arnold Sandwich Thin
- One egg (or egg white/substitute)
- Shredded Cheddar
- A Splash of Milk
- Apple Salsa (or apple butter)
What to do:
- Mix the egg and milk in a bowl, then pour in cheddar.
- Scramble on stove over medium heat
- Toast Arnold Thin on lowest setting in toaster
- Plop the cheddar scrambled egg and a spoonful or two of apple salsa onto the thin
- Enjoy!
The. End.
As you read this, I’m at work, probably sipping a vanilla tea latte sprinkled with nutmeg—just because it tastes like fall.
Have a great night! <3

After seeing that picture I will be attempting my own salsa making after picking apples with Momma and Hunni. How can you not love fall with all the apple things and the pretty leaves on the trees. Make the drive out your way even prettier
After recently discovering the deliciousness that is apples in cheese fondue, that sandwich looks delicious!!
I might just have to make it this weekend.
Autumn is TOTALLY on my mind too! I had a cinnamon dolce latte today and it definitely made me think of Fall. I hope it’s here SOON!
PS: Thanks for your sweet email
I love fall also! I keep seeing little signs that fall is on its way and I’m beyond excited.
And I’m definitely trying the egg sandwich for lunch tomorrow
LOVE Kurver Kreme!!! I never got to go this year
I love Fall too, especially all things pumpkin and apple. That salsa looks amazing!
I am excited for fall … but not winter!
It is amazing how a change in the weather changes my food cravings and what I want to cook.
