Warning: This post is long, but is full of pictures that made my weekend. Hope you don’t mind!
I’ll get to that in a second. First, I need to share reason number 5,937,652 that I love Uncommon Grounds.
Guys, there is a flower in my latte. A FLOWER! Seriously, how cool is that!? Sheesh! Uncommon Grounds sure knows the way to my heart.
Back to babies…
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about the little things in life that make me happy. This post is dedicated to one very little thing that always puts a smile to my face.
Nicholas’ birthday was technically on the 24th, but Sarah (my sister-in-law, and his mother) thought that today would be the perfect day to throw a pool party. She was right. The weather was beautiful. I drove the two and a half hours down from my apartment in Albany to attend.
Because I took 593 pictures of today’s shenanigans (OK-maybe 594), this post will be mostly photos with some commentary thrown in. Sound good? GOOD!
After The Cake:
With My Sister-in-Law, Angela:
Henry, the Wheaten Terrier:
Angela with my brother, David. (David is wearing Nicholas’ Pirate Hat)
Ooey-Gooey Tomato & Garlic PIzza (Confession: I peeled the cheese off after I took this pic. Wayyyy too greasy for my liking)
Nicholas hanging in the pool with his dad (and my brother), Adam:
AND- if you’ve made it this far (you’re awesome), here’s a video that pretty much sums up where my ridiculous sense of humor comes from:
That right there is a video of my brothers dancing with Nicholas in the pool. Can you hear him laughing?
Your Turn: Tell me what made your weekend! <3
Then, Tell me about one person in your life who can always make you smile!
[PS: My mom just roasted cauliflower. OMG]
