Happy B-Day Nicholas (The Little Things: Revisited)

Warning: This post is long, but is full of pictures that made my weekend. Hope you don’t mind!

My family celebrated my nephew, Nicholas’ first birthday today. I can’t believe it’s been a year already.

Kissy

I’ll get to that in a second. First, I need to share reason number 5,937,652 that I love Uncommon Grounds.

Latte Art

Guys, there is a flower in my latte. A FLOWER! Seriously, how cool is that!? Sheesh! Uncommon Grounds sure knows the way to my heart.

OK.

Back to babies…

WOW

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about the little things in life that make me happy. This post is dedicated to one very little thing that always puts a smile to my face.

Nicholas’ birthday was technically on the 24th, but Sarah (my sister-in-law, and his mother) thought that today would be the perfect day to throw a pool party. She was right. The weather was beautiful. I drove the two and a half hours down from my apartment in Albany to attend.

Because I took 593 pictures of today’s shenanigans (OK-maybe 594), this post will be mostly photos with some commentary thrown in. Sound good? GOOD!

That right there is a video of my brothers dancing with Nicholas in the pool. Can you hear him laughing?

  1. Awww, I love it! He’s so precious! (So is the dog!)

Hmm, well, I did my laundry and cleaned my apartment (which sucked), BUT there’s something about sleeping in clean pajamas on clean sheets in a clean apartment. Love it!

  2. Oh, your nephew is adorable! I promised my sister that I wouldn’t put her three kids’ faces on my blog, so when they’re on there, you only see their backs. I think my brother’s son’s face is on there but in a picture that was taken very far away. Anyway, it’s too bad because they’re all super cute.

Good luck with the first day of school!

  3. Awww… so, so cute! I had a great weekend with my wife and kids at the OC Foodie Fest in Anaheim, CA. Almost 50 gourmet food trucks gathered in one place. It was awesome!
Good luck with your first day (and last semester) of school!

  4. I still gotta meet him officially! and Oh my gosh Angela’s hair looks so pretty long like that! i don’t think I’ve ever seen it so long. 🙂 tell her that i love it and she should keep it (if she wants) 🙂

Looks like you had fun. 🙂 Happy birthday Nicholas!

  5. Adorable party and handsome Nephew! Love the pic of his foot! Henry is my kind of “guy”! This weekend we went to the Farmers Market, household chores, yard work, watched some Horse Racing and enjoyed the weather and good food!

  6. I was at a work event all weekend. But I had a great time talking with a good friend who lives in Boston that I never see. Best part of the weekend 🙂

Hunni always makes me smile. Even if I’m mad at him he can get me to laugh. Drives me nuts 🙂
