I wish I could spend every Saturday morning here:
Beverly’s was ranked high on the list of places to take my out-of-town guests this weekend.
I absolutely love dining out for breakfast, and, in my opinion, there’s no place better than Beverly’s to do just that.
This cute bistro-like cafe is located in Saratoga Springs—around 35 minutes north of Albany.
I don’t think I could go there and not order at pancakes. This time, I went with a pineapple-coconut kind:
I wish I could properly express to you how good the pancakes at Beverly’s truly are. They are just the right size—not too thick, not too thin, and are made with (a touch of) wheat germ. If I was smart, I would have flipped that pancake over, and snapped a picture of the bottom—which was completely covered with pineapple and coconut.
But, I was in a rush to shove it in my mouth, so you know…just imagine it, and drool a little.
I only ordered one pancake because Beverly’s is awesome and allows that, but also because I ordered scrambled eggs for breakfast as well.
OK- I adore Beverly’s, but the waitress really messed up my order on this particular occasion. I ordered one pancake, along with two scrambled eggs, home fries, and toast. For some reason, I received one breakfast item at a time. Not a big deal—I just ate in courses.
I just want to let you know in case you are wondering why my food isn’t all on the same plate. I know these of the types of things that worry you.
Beverly’s home fries are probably the best I’ve had in my life. No exaggeration.
Their bread is also locally baked.
OK- please try to tell me that you’re not dying to go to Beverly’s right now. I won’t believe you if you say otherwise.
In fact, please stop reading this right now, and go to Beverly’s. It’s 10:30 pm here, but I’m sure you can camp outside the door, or drive all night to get there…
::crickets::
Are you still here?
I forgive you.
I’ll even show you the bagel sandwich I ordered at Uncommon Grounds on Sunday morning.
You’re staring at eggs, cheddar, tomatoes, onions, and roasted reds on a honey wheat bagel.
I don’t think I need to sell you on Uncommon Grounds. If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you already know that I live there. Beverly’s can be my weekend vacation home.
OK- this is getting ridiculous.
Please just eat breakfast and be happy.
The end.

Woman, I love breakfast. And mostly EVERYTHING you have pictured. You don’t have to urge me
I LOVE going out for breakfast! pancakes and eggs are my favorite- it all looks so tasty! what a nice treat!
mmmmmmm i want it all! look so yummy!
Those homefries look really flavourful!
Rebecca, I love your passion and zeal for breakfast. Haha for some reason I find it very endearing
We actually have an Uncommon Grounds in Chicago that I still have never been to…
I LOVE DINER COFFEE MUGS. You know the kind I’m talking about: the smooth, creamy, ceramic cups. They’re thicker than your average kitchen coffee mug. (I see that Beverly’s has exactly what I’m talking about.) Even if the coffee tastes like dank ass, if it’s in a diner coffee cup, it takes like heaven.
