If I’m good at anything, it’s making breakfast burritos.
And, no, I don’t feel silly bragging that my specialty is one of the easiest things in the world to make.
You can make these suckers with a variety of ingredients, but I like to keep mine simple.
- 2 Scrambled Eggs
- 1 Whole Wheat Flour Tortilla
- 2 spoonfuls of Newman’s Own Black Bean and Corn Salsa
- 4 or 5 Slices of Avocado
- A Generous Sprinkle of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
If you feel compelled to eat your computer screen, please stop reading, and make a breakfast burrito right away.
If you’re not drooling all over your keyboard, please turn your attention to the GIVEAWAY I’m about to announce!
The other day, my wonderful friend, Dara, presented me with the Operation Beautiful Book!
Since I already own a copy, I want to give this one away to one of YOU! (I got Dara’s and Caitlin’s permission, of course!)
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that last summer, I met up with a great group of bloggers in NYC to support Caitlin as she promoted her book on the Today Show.
I absolutely adore Caitlin and her blog. Her book is just as fabulous and inspiring as she is!
I know many of you probably already own a copy, but for those who don’t, here’s how to enter:
Simply leave a comment on this post and tell me one thing you do each day to make yourself feel beautiful.
That’s it!
Feel free to spread the word about this giveaway through Twitter, or Facebook. In a separate comment, let me know if you tweet or post about it, and you’ll earn an extra entry!
You have until Midnight EST on Friday, June 17th to enter. I will pick a winner via the random integer generator on Saturday, June 18th.
Good luck!
Have a great Wednesday! <3

I have made inspirational messages and put them up all in my closet (like operation beautiful notes)and look at them everyday for inspiration!
I tweeted this for an extra entry! I am @butterjessfly
I walk around in underware and a tank top…avoid mirrors. But dancing and feeling so free is great!!!
I do all I can to make myself feel beautiful every day. I used to depend on others, but taking care of myself with healthy foods and exercise go a long way to make me feel great. Furthermore, I find that trying my hardest to be loving and supportive to those around me makes me feel so lovely, inside and out. Yay Operation Beautiful!
I look in the mirror each morning and smile at myself as I think about what a great day awaits me.
Yoga is what does it for me because it makes me feel confident and strong. Even a short sequence per day helps me.
I exercise (almost) every day to fee beautiful–nothing beats a rosy post-workout glow!
That was supposed to be “feel” not “fee” lol
Oh, and I tweeted about the giveaway
I eat healthy and run. I always feel amazing when I run and have a healthy breakfast after. =)
I’m a huge fan of Caitlin’s blog and would love a chance to win her book! One thing I do each day is to take 5 minutes to stretch. When I stretch, not only do I feel more energized and present, but I also realize how lucky I am to have my body and everything it does which makes me feel strong AND beautiful!
Exercising (running and yoga) and getting a good sweat really makes me happy and feel beautiful
I love to remind other people how great they are- that’s what makes me happy
I feel beautiful everyday by surrounding myself with people who love me and treat me right (like my hubby!)… Also I eat healthy all natural foods that make me feel physically feel good
I take 30min just to listen to music, read a chapter from a good book, or sit still
I have several sticky notes on my mirror that I make sure and take the time to read each morning as I get ready. It’s a “I can conquer the day” strategy that works! I always leave feeling more motivated and courageous to seize the day!
belly dancing in the shower
One thing I do every day to help myself feel beautiful is to start the day with positive self-talk about myself. Throughout the day, I try to immediately identify and challenge any cognitive distortions I think. This has made a huge difference!
I tell myself that I am MYSELF – ME – and do not compare myself to other people and how ‘beautiful’ they are.
To make myself beautiful i try to be as positive as possible and keep an upbeat attitude. with a positive attitude, I feel beautiful!
