Blueberries and Bagels

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I have a weakness for blueberries. On more than one occasion, I’ve seriously considered changing the name of my blog to Blueberry Becca, instead of Rosey Rebecca.

You also probably know that I’m completely obsessed with bagels. Before I moved away from Albany, I practically lived in a cafe/bagel shop called Uncommon Grounds.

So when I was offered the opportunity to try Thomas’ new Blueberry Bagel Thins, I jumped at the chance.

Blueberry Bagel Thins

I decided to look past the fact that blueberries were one of the last ingredients listed. I don’t discriminate against blueberry-flavored things. Each thin is only 110 calories and has 5 grams of protein and fiber. Plus, the first ingredient is whole wheat flour!

After I popped one of the bagel thins in the toaster, I got to work making a two-egg omelet to go along with it.

In the mix: cheddar cheese and guacamole

Technically, the guacamole was on top, not inside, but whatever. Don’t worry, I smeared the guac all over the omelet after I snapped this picture. I also drowned it in hot sauce. 🙂

The bagel thin was tasty, but obviously not as good as a real bagel. I’ll probably cover the rest in peanut butter and eat them as snacks.

Last night, I went to the Cheesecake Factory with my sisters-in-law, Angela and Sarah.

I had been craving a salad all day, so that’s exactly what I decided to order when we sat down. I went with the French Country Salad on the appetizer salad page (the normal salads are too,TOO big)

Mixed Greens, Grilled Asparagus, Fresh Beets, Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans and Vinaigrette.

The best part of this salad was getting all the ingredients in one bite. All of the flavors and textures mixed really well together.

Surprisingly, none of us wanted cheesecake after dinner. Instead, we opted for Starbucks.

I ordered a tall Calm tea, and a birthday cake pop. Delicious!

I have a three day weekend coming up, so I’m heading to my good friend, Dana’s, house. I haven’t seen her since April, and I miss her so much. She’s like my sister! I don’t know if I’m going to bring my laptop with me, but I’ll have lots of good things to blog about when I get back. 🙂

I’m going to leave you with this adorable picture of my nephew, Nicholas. It was taken on Wednesday when I went swimming at my brother’s pool.

Nicholas He’s too cute for words.

Have a great weekend! <3
