January Confessions

If all goes as planned, Virginia will be my new home at the end of March (right outside of D.C.).

Since the middle of November, I’ve spent an equal amount of time in New York and Virginia. Amtrak is my new best friend. I really wish I could teleport.

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been to the gym since September.

I’m still in complete shock that my best friend from preschool is getting married this October. When did we grow up?

My eating habits have been less than perfect these days. I’m trying to fix that ASAP.

I love public transportation. Yesterday, I shoved myself into a packed D.C. metro at rush hour and loved every second of it.

I am completely obsessed with my new prescription sunglasses. I even wear them inside sometimes. They make me feel cool.

In Philly with Jeff- New Year's Day 2012 What do you think?

I may chop all most of my hair off today. I need a change.

January 12 will mark two years since I became a vegetarian. Let’s have a party!

  1. I LOVE the DC area! I have visited DC, Alexandria, VA and Annapolis, MD, and I really liked it down there. My husband had a teaching job interview down there two summers ago and I was seriously bummed out when he didn’t get it because I was stoked at the idea of moving there. If all works out and you move there, I will be very jealous!

  2. Sounds good!I am also a vegetarian.I have been practicing this for last 7 years. And have found this really beneficial for me.hope your life at Virginia will be enjoyable.

  3. Wow! Awesome!!

I actually just made the same move – college in NY, to living just outside of DC down here in Virginia! If you need any advice about moving down here, hit me up! When you get settled in, I’d love to recommend some places to check out, and restaurants to try if you’re nearby 🙂

It’s an interesting transition to make, dealing with the traffic and density, but there’s just SO much to do and see down here, and it’s really so beautiful and green in the summer and fall I hope you love it!

    1. Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for reaching out! We should definitely get together when I move down. I’ve actually explored a lot of the area already because my boyfriend works/lives in the Arlington area. I am obsessed with Northside Social in Clarendon! Have you been?

      I’ll definitely email you!
