Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#4)

Hello! Happy Friday! Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#4)- www.roseyrebecca.com

I’m so happy that it finally feels like fall in Western North Carolina! Sweater weather is my absolute favorite.

Speaking of favorites, it’s time for the fourth edition of Some Things I Really Loved This Week, a series where I share positive thoughts and experiences from my week with hopes that they will have a positive impact on you, too! Feel free to share some of the things that YOU  really loved this week in the comments!

President Obama Doesn’t Have Time For These 7 Excuses Not To Vote

Watch this. Really. Share with your friends. We all know someone who uses one (or all) of these excuses to not vote. Voting is so, so important, and not just during presidential election years. Midterms matter! November 6 is election day.

Experiences That Made Me Happy

Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#4)- www.roseyrebecca.com

OK, so this might sound weird to list as something that made me happy this week but getting sick really gave me a chance to slow down. I’ve been going and going, both mentally and physically, since this whole flea thing started last month and being sick forced me to just sit on my couch and do nothing for a while. I haven’t exercised since Sunday and there was a time in my life when I would have really freaked out about that but I’m at a point where I’m really into listening to my body and giving it what it needs and what it needed this week was rest.

Something new I discovered about myself this week is that I’ve started to like milk in my tea! Also, I really like drinking tea all day long. It doesn’t make me feel as jittery as coffee does when I drink it in the afternoon. The huge pot of tea I ordered from Odd’s Cafe yesterday morning made me so, so happy.

Early voting in North Carolina began on Wednesday and Jeff and I went to vote together. I know I’ve mentioned this on Instagram before but I’m not sure I’ve ever mentioned it on the blog: Jeff is chair of our county’s Democratic Party. Since he was first elected to the position in April 2017 he’s worked tirelessly to ensure that we elect Democrats this November. I can’t go to a single event with him without at least one person approaching me and telling me how much they appreciate him and all that he’s done for the county. Being able to cast my vote with him on the first day of early voting solidified how proud I am of him and everything he’s accomplished over the past year and a half.

  1. I love love love that pic of you and Jeff. Your hair looks darker. You should dye it darker 🙂 also that haunted house thing is so funny! What’s weird is that tea makes me less jittery too even though it supposedly has less caffeine. Weird!
