Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#8)

Hey all! Happy Friday!

It’s time for another edition of Some Things I Really Loved This Week, a post where I highlight things that I experienced in the past week that made me happy, inspired me or made me laugh with the hope that maybe they’ll make you happy, inspire you or make you laugh, too!  Feel free to tell me about some things that YOU really loved this week in the comments!

BUT FIRST! I promised I’d announce the winners of my Effin’ Birds Giveaway !!!

Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#8)

I chose the winners with a random number generator and they are:

The winner of an Effin’ Birds Mug is Rachel Robles who said: Oh gosh, where do I start?? I love “Being an adult is shit” because I am hardcore feeling that right now. The “shitmas miracle” made me snort, but the trainwreck one is calling my name today. Of course, if I get another mug, I think my partner might kill me lol

The winner of an Effin’ Birds Hoodie or Sweater is Michelle H. who said: “Stop bothering the adults” is definitely my fave. Classic & so true (depending on the situation). Thanks for this chance to win & good luck everyone!

The winner of an Effin’ Birds T-Shirt is Meghan who said: I teach high school, and I would definitely wear the “NOPE” shirt on the regular!

CONGRATULATIONS! Please email me at by Sunday, November 18 with your design choice and shipping information. If I don’t hear from the winners by Sunday, I will choose new ones on Monday.

BUT DON’T WORRY IF YOU DIDN’T WIN– use code ROSEYREBECCA at checkout to receive 10% off your ENTIRE Effin’ Birds order from now until December 31, 2018. Happy Shopping!

Experiences That Made Me Happy

Some Things I Really Loved This Week (#8)

Making a menu and shopping for Thanksgiving! I know I just said the other day that I’m completely overwhelmed about the fact that I’m hosting it for the first time ever but I’m also SUPER EXCITED. Yesterday I went to three grocery stores in a row and it was great because since we’re still a week out, I could actually walk around without having three million people on top of me. I also spent five years (OK, maybe 30 minutes) on Wednesday looking at Brussels Sprout recipes on Pinterest. Don’t judge me.

Jeff’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year, too, so I’m extra happy that we’ll have our family at our house to celebrate.

What are you making or looking forward to eating on Thanksgiving this year?

Yesterday my therapist asked how I would talk to a friend if they opened up to me about their struggles and I realized that I am much harsher when I talk to myself than I am when I talk to other people. Going to try to work on that.

My mother-in-law sent this post to me after she read my post about feeling overwhelmed and it really helped.

Things That Made Me Laugh

I would love this. I hate when people don’t use their turn signal.
