Dogs Love Wine

On Friday night, I had a date with my good friend, Dara. She invited me over to her place for dinner, wine, and a movie, and that was an offer I just couldn’t pass up.

Before heading to her house, we met at the grocery store to pick up ingredients.

Dara in the pasta aisle

We probably spent 15 minutes in the pasta aisle. Dara had a distinct vision for what she wanted to make, and knew the right pasta would make the meal. :-)

After spending about 30 minutes in the grocery store (I’m telling you, I could live in one), we headed back to Dara’s house to start dinner.

Well, technically, Dara started dinner. I played with this little girl:

Harley

I also contemplated running out the door with her while Dara wasn’t looking.

I helped with dinner a little bit. I chopped a red pepper…

…and provided the wine…

Murphy Goode Sauvignon Blanc

C’mon, that’s an important part of preparing dinner, right?

While Dara slaved over the stove…

…I took pictures of this:

Harley loves vino! :-)

Anyway, Dara’s pasta primavera was delicious!

I went back for seconds (and thirds of the wine!).

Twas a wonderful Friday night! In case you’re wondering, we watched The Hangover. Dara had never seen it, and we both want to see the second one. I love Zach Galifianakis!

Well, I’m off to work on this rainy Sunday. Stayed tuned this week for a back-to-blogging giveaway!

What did you do this weekend!?

Have a great Sunday! <3

It’s Official: I’m in Love…

…with this:

Murphy Goode

If I had to choose one wine to drink for the rest of my life (isn’t that a horrible thought?), this would be it.

If I could marry a bottle of wine….I’d marry this one (as long as it continuously refilled itself, that is).

I usually prefer reds, but one sip of this white was all it took.

No exaggeration, this is one of the best wines I’ve ever had. Please find it and buy it. I promise you’ll love it. And if you don’t, pack it up and send the rest to me. I’ll drink it straight from the box, and take pictures to prove it.

OK- enough of that. Let’s look at this:

Yogurt Mess

That, my friends, is my new breakfast of choice. I usually throw it together when I realize that I’ve been up for two hours, and haven’t had breakfast yet. Then, I scarf it down when I look at the clock, and realize I have ten minutes before I need to leave for work. Don’t ask me why I procrastinate. I just do.

Anyway, you’re staring at a huge yogurt mess, comprised of:

  • 3/4 cup Fage 0% Yogurt
  • 1 Sliced Banana
  • 1/2 Cup of Whole Foods Vanilla Almond Granola
  • ~Tsp of Toasted Wheat Germ
  • ~Tsp of Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
  • Approximately 7 Dark Chocolate Chips (for good measure)

Wonder in a bowl, if you ask me.

And, one more thing before I go:

Blueberry Pie

Four words: Whole.Foods.Blueberry.Pie.

That’s all.

Have a great Friday! <3
