Even more than running, yoga, and meditation, I find that walking around Whole Foods for hours on end tends to be the best therapy for me. It just makes me so happy. Yesterday, a sales associate approached me and asked if I needed help. My answer? “No, I’m just staring at everything.” Seriously, it just helps my stress melt away. Is that weird?
I attended my first Zumba class not too long ago, and absolutely loved it. I used to dance. In fact, it was my intended major when I first started college. I don’t know why I stopped. On another note, I have Party Rock dance parties with my brother’s dog, Henry, on a daily basis. He looks forward to it. He even grabs his squeaky toy and squeaks along.
My mom and I have been dog-sitting Henry for the past two months. My sister-in-law, Sarah, was on bed rest until she gave birth to my beautiful niece, Eloise Belle, on January 10th. We’re watching Henry until Sarah heals a bit, and gets situated.
This picture of my 2-year-old nephew, Nicholas, holding his baby sister makes my heart melt:
Eloise’s middle name, Belle, is for my father, Ben. He would have been so happy to meet her. I am very excited about the newest addition to my family. (You can see a pic of me holding my new niece on the Rosey Rebecca Facebook page!)
In my last post, I mentioned that I wanted to cut all my hair off. Literally ten minutes after I hit publish, I received an email from Jeff’s aunt asking if I wanted to get my hair cut with her. Of course I did! She’s so much fun to hang out with, and I love my new do!
We went to an awesome salon in Northern Virginia called John David Salon. I loved it everything about my experience there. They used a lavender shampoo and conditioner on my hair, and the hair stylist who cut my hair was amazing. I’ll definitely go back.
After our hair appointments, we got lunch at Whole Foods (yum!), and then watched The Help. I haven’t read the book, but I really enjoyed the movie. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it!
I’m currently in Virginia, sitting on our new comfy couch, contemplating a trip to the mall. Or maybe I’ll make pizza dough. Hmm. Tough decisions.
Speaking of couches, this is how we got our new couch home from Ikea a couple weeks ago:
What is your favorite way to relax/fight stress?
Have a great Wednesday! <3
